I’ve been learning, lately, about unusual color choices in artwork.  This is a good example, and I like what she’s done.  This would really be “stepping boldly forth” for me as an artist, and I need to expose myself to more of this sort of thing so I remember to make such choices. — whisperinglion

I wrote for Beleg for a Tolkien RPG, and he’ll always have a soft spot in my heart.  Too fierce to stay in his protected forest when others were battling evil, he followed no captain but himself and could not be restrained in battle.  In the end it was not his enemies who killed him, but a friend he would not abandon.
