- You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late one more time you get fired. What do you do?
- Search for a rope, extension cord, or garden hose with which to rope him…or a long board to float out and have him climb on; bring him to shore and hope he doesn’t bite me (dogs sometimes don’t like me); and, then, go on to work. It isn’t realistic to think I’d have been late multiple times before. It isn’t my nature. If I get fired, I would probably feel like it was a good thing to be away from a boss like that anyway.
